When Toddlers Read Romance Novels

Zoe loves to read.  Lately she is into doing her own reading, which means either reciting books she has memorized or making up stories based on the pictures.

This gets interesting when there are no pictures.  It’s especially interesting when the books in question are the romance novels in the lobby of Great Grandma Vergie’s apartment building.  For example:

According to Zoe, Her Last First Date is actually called He’s Getting Dressed.

And fear not, concerned parents / grandparents / responsible adults.  The story that goes with He’s Getting Dressed  is “Old MacDonald Had a Farm.”
